I will start by saying I am doing this under protest because I am afraid that word will get out and this place will be in such high demand that it won't be available when I want to stay! I have rented in Santa Barbara for the past three summers. I did not have a great experience in the first two rentals--they were not well appointed nor well taken care of. So I purposefully sought out a place that looked really nice in the pictures--and the Mesa Beach Cottage fit the bill. Imagine my surprise, however, when I arrived and it was even beyond what I had envisioned! I walked in, took a tour of the indoor and outdoor living space, and immediately felt my blood pressure go down. I felt 100% at home and relaxed. There is almost twice as much outdoor living space as indoor living space. My visiting guests and I spent hours sipping cocktails on the patio. We drank wine around the fire pit, enjoyed the clear SB night skies in the hot tub, and fought over whose turn it was to use the outdoor shower! This home would have been perfection in any neighborhood, but now picture yourself just 100 yards from one of SB's best beaches and nicest parks. Lori has stocked her home with all the necessities--we boogie boarded, stand up paddled, and rode our bikes to Montecito for breakfast. Lori is very responsive to any needs you might have (for example, we couldn't find the bike pump and one showed up within the hour!) I had one of the most memorable months I can remember and I am crossing all my fingers that another trip to this delightful home is in my future!

Weekly Cleaning is included in your monthly fee. If reservation is canceled 180 days or more prior to check in, 100% refund of your deposit is offered. If canceled 90-180 days or more, 50% refund of deposit is offered. If canceled within 60-90 days of check-in, there is a 50% refund of your deposit. Full payment is required 60 days prior to check in with no refund of deposit and final payment if canceled within 60 days of check in.
